March bring us another edition of “Congress of Genetics and Biotechnology” taking place at “Universidade de Trás os Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD)” from the 6^th to 9^th of March.

  Now in the 6^th edition, adnGB-aautad, together with the Genetics and Biotechnology Department of UTAD, is organizing this event, which will be able to count with the presence of illustrious invitees in various areas, including several international speakers.

  The target audience is not only composed of students, teachers and investigators but also by companies and operators working in this area, along with everyone who wishes to participate and share in the knowledge in Genetics and Biotechnology.

  Besides lectures, a contest for the best posters will take place. We also aim to stimulate the creation of a environment for active discussion and scientific debate, exchange of experiences and also allow the participants to be part of what we do best in this institution.

  We intend to offer a variety of opportunities to get to know the different subjects within this broad branch of Biology and Technology, such as animal and plant studies, forensics and nutrigenomics.   

  In the year that marks the 10^th anniversary of the degree, we intend to raise the bar and therefore the activities will extend beyond the already usual lectures, and will include the National Meeting of Biotechnology students and the dinner commemorating the event, as well as workshops by several companies.

  We count on you to make this event a big success, so it can be perpetuated and continue to spread knowledge, experiences and promote personal connection among people sharing a common interest in Science throughout Portugal.
